Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage a book of commercial insurance accounts, build client relationships, provide exceptional service, and ensure account retention and growth. The role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of the commercial insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with commercial clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, addressing client needs effectively.
  • Develop renewal strategies, prepare quotes, and negotiate terms with carriers.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and provide guidance on policy coverage, changes, and claims processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and insurance carriers to deliver customized solutions.
  • Identify and address potential gaps in clients’ coverage or areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records using agency management systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and risks affecting clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial insurance sector.
  • Active Property & Casualty license required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Problem-solving abilities focused on delivering client-centric solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
