Producer/New Business Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Producer/New Business Underwriter to join a team. This role focuses on new business development within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Binding vertical. The successful candidate will be responsible for marketing, managing, and retaining a consistently growing book of business while building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Develop and present proposals effectively and in a timely manner.
- Negotiate and execute new and renewal production goals as established by management.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through solicitation, referrals, target marketing, and industry affiliations.
- Gather information and recommendations for prospective accounts, present proposals, and secure new accounts while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate, present, and process new business efficiently and within deadlines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and materials with clients and carriers regarding exposures and coverages in electronic files.
- Assist in resolving coverage issues, audits, endorsements, accounting, claims, or marketing concerns as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, brokering, or senior underwriting, with a focus on multi-line binding.
- Expertise in Packaged & Monoline Policies, including P&C, Transportation, and Garage.
- Proven track record in developing new business and growing a book of business and territory.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Active state-issued P&C license.
