Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and dynamic Personal Lines Department Manager to lead a tenured team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the operations of the Personal Lines Department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service, and fostering employee development. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in personal lines insurance, a strong leadership background, and expertise in utilizing Epic software. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Personal Lines Department, ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee a team of experienced professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and employee development.
  • Utilize Epic software to manage workflows and ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and senior leadership to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
  • Travel to other office locations twice a year to foster inter-office collaboration and alignment.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education & Licensing: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in personal lines insurance (15+ years preferred).
    • Proven leadership experience managing a team in a similar capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic software is mandatory.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

  • Work Environment:
    • This is an in-office role based in Pittsburgh, requiring a presence 5 days a week for the first 6 months. A hybrid schedule may be considered after the initial period.
    • Willingness to travel twice a year to other office locations.
