Property & Casualty Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property & Casualty (P&C) Manager to join a well-established, family-owned insurance agency. With a long-standing reputation for excellence and strong carrier relationships, the agency offers a small-agency feel while providing comprehensive insurance solutions in Personal Lines (PL) and Small Business Commercial Lines (CL).

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Bonus Opportunities: Eligible for commission/profit-sharing bonuses
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage employees in Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and back-office operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
  • Provide leadership and support to a team
  • Assist with servicing and sales as needed, particularly for walk-in clients.
  • Manage carrier relationships, billing, and accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Support the quoting and renewal process for new and existing business when necessary.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and development among team members.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License required; additional designations are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an independent insurance agency.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AMS360 software is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with billing, accounting, and Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines is essential.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead a team, with a strong focus on mentorship and team development.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A customer-focused mindset and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
