Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of middle-market accounts across industries such as construction, agriculture, oil and gas, and trucking. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in account management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. This role is full-time and primarily in-office, with the potential for one remote day per week after full training.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business generating $700,000 in revenue, consisting of 100-130 accounts with premiums ranging from $20,000 to $500,000.
  • Handle daily account management tasks, including endorsements, certificates of insurance (COI), renewals, marketing, proposals, and account rounding.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and client-facing interactions.
  • Assist with quoting new and renewal business, with a primary focus on renewals.
  • Conduct remarketing efforts and update client applications as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Department Manager and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience as an Account Manager or Customer Service Representative (CSR) handling middle-market accounts.
    • Familiarity with industries such as construction, agriculture, oil and gas, and trucking is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Epic software is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Strong computer literacy and ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, close-knit environment.
