Commercial Lines Account Manager (CLAM)

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager (CLAM) to join a team. As part of the largest bank-owned insurance agency, you will play a key role in servicing middle-market accounts across various industries, including property, apartments/condos, and hospitality. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with the flexibility to work remotely for qualified candidates outside the immediate area. Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually (flexible up to $85,000-$90,000 depending on experience)
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package

  • Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). Fully remote options available for candidates outside the immediate area (MD/VA).
  • Travel: No travel required

Responsibilities

  • Manage middle-market accounts (ranging between $50,000 and $100,000) from start to finish (A-Z servicing).
  • Handle a diverse portfolio of accounts, including property, apartments/condos, and hospitality.
  • Quote new and renewal business to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Utilize Applied EPIC software to manage accounts efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality service and solutions tailored to client needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in account management, specifically in middle-market accounts.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of generalist accounts, including property, apartments/condos, and hospitality.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Applied EPIC software is highly preferred.
  • Work History: Stable work history with no frequent job changes.
  • Assessment: Willingness to complete a TotalCSR assessment (personality, behavioral, and coverage knowledge).
