Compensation Package

  • Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $115,000
  • Bonus: Sales incentive bonus plan

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and grow a personal book of business.
  • Manage agency relationships and serve as the primary client contact.
  • Rate, quote, and bind risks for new and renewal business, focusing on complex accounts.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to drive business growth.
  • Submit underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and leadership as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including hit ratio, retention, growth, and loss ratio.
  • Train and mentor assistant and associate underwriters to support team development.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in commercial lines underwriting or brokerage, with a strong preference for E&S experience.
  • Licenses/Designations:
    • Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred.
    • CPCU, CIC, or similar professional designations are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard agency management systems; no specific system required.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial lines, with a focus on complex, middle-market, and E&S risks.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent relationship management, communication, and organizational skills.
