Job Summary
Seeking an experienced and motivated Employee Benefits Advisor/Consultant to join a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, tech-savvy, and growth-oriented environment, where you will play a pivotal role in expanding presence in the middle-market benefits space.
Compensation Package
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k).
- Compensation Structure: Competitive commission splits (approximately 40% for new business and 25% for renewals).
- Work Environment: Fully remote position, with candidates required to be based in California.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and secure new business opportunities within the middle-market benefits space (25-500 lives).
- Advise clients on coverage options and assist with plan design tailored to their needs.
- Negotiate with carriers to secure optimal terms for clients.
- Leverage proprietary technology to provide clients with real-time insights into contribution models, client spend, and benefits reconciliation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in the employee benefits industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Book of Business: Established book of business with a minimum of $300K in revenue.
- Account Size Expertise: Experience working with accounts ranging from 25 to 500 lives.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC, HubSpot, and Employee Navigator software.
- Soft Skills:
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with advanced systems.
- Highly motivated and results-driven.
- Consultative approach to client interactions.
- Strong ability to build and grow business relationships.
