Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Administrator to oversee and enhance the reliability, security, and efficiency of an organization's IT environment. In this role, you will lead a small IT team, manage internal systems and infrastructure, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business operations. You will play a critical role in shaping an IT strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a secure and scalable technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small IT team, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of IT systems, including hardware, software, internal platforms, and network infrastructure.
  • Design and implement technology solutions aligned with business needs and continuous improvement goals.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support business operations and technology initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost management for IT operations, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Oversee user access and system security across internal and third-party platforms.
  • Define and execute long-term IT strategies in collaboration with organizational leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and policies.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including risk assessments, audits, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Supervise IT staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance system performance and scalability.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the organization.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience leading or supervising IT staff.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a service-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a focus on user support and satisfaction.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft-based environments, including cloud platforms.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems.
  • Proficiency with standard business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and staying current with technology trends.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a related function.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading team members is preferred.
