Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead, develop, and grow our sales team at a dynamic independent insurance agency. This role is responsible for overseeing sales operations, driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and ensuring the team delivers exceptional service across a range of insurance products.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of insurance producers to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive new business and client retention
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, carriers, and business partners
  • Identify market opportunities and expand the agency’s footprint within target segments
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and agency standards
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives
  • Handle complex client accounts and support team members in closing high-value deals

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • 3–7+ years of insurance sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Active insurance license (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health, as applicable)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
