Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts by proactively meeting clients’ needs and providing customized solutions.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests regarding billing, policy changes, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and carriers to ensure seamless communication and high-quality service.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage new business submissions, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
  • Review and analyze insurance policies to meet client requirements effectively and identify coverage gaps.
  • Process claims documentation and provide guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, new regulations, product offerings, and market conditions to ensure clients receive the best coverage possible.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of communications, policies, and documentation within the agency database.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote additional insurance products tailored to client needs.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial lines account management and/or customer service, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, terminology, and underwriting requirements in commercial lines.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clientele.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in insurance management systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address and resolve client concerns.
  • Highly motivated and customer-focused.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams of professionals and contribute to a thriving workplace culture.
