Employee Benefits Account Manager (EBAM)
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager (EBAM) to join a growing team. This role is pivotal in managing and servicing a high volume of employee benefits accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and seamless operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience)
- Commission: Guaranteed commission structure with potential for growth
- Additional Incentives: 2.5% override on the total book of business
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) (eligibility begins the first quarter following the anniversary date)
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (in-office with potential for hybrid flexibility after training)
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume book of business, including small and large group accounts.
- Handle daily service tasks such as claims and billing issues, terms, enrollments, adds, assisting with applications, and processing change requests.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, explaining new benefits and conducting open enrollment meetings.
- Collaborate with analysts to understand and manage RFPs.
- Quote new and renewal business as needed.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure accuracy in all client interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships.
- Participate in sales opportunities and bring in new relationships, with incentives for successful contributions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in employee benefits account management (candidates with less experience may be considered).
- Licenses/Designations: Life and Health (L&H) license preferred (support available to obtain licensing if needed).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with software such as Imageright, BenefitPoint, and Ease Navigator.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits terminology.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, ability to manage high volumes of work, and strong communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
