Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative – Small Business

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative – Small Business to join a team. This role is integral in supporting the agency sales team and ensuring the seamless management of small business renewals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines insurance, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment. Compensation Package

  • Compensation: Hourly rate equivalent to an annual salary of approximately $57,000 to $63,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative – Small Business, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing the Commercial Lines Book of Business:

    • Processing endorsements, billing, and payments.
    • Handling claims and creating new/renewal business submissions.
    • Ordering loss runs, experience modifiers, and assisting with supplemental applications.
    • Issuing certificates, evidence of insurance, auto ID cards, and binders.
    • Checking and mailing out policies, creating proposals, and tracking cancellations and audits.
    • Managing bonds and other related tasks.
  • Renewal Management:

    • Optimizing small business renewals by managing the renewal process and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Remarketing:

    • Identifying and executing remarketing opportunities for clients.
  • Quoting Account Rounds:

    • Providing quotes for existing commercial lines business.
  • Staying Updated:

    • Keeping up-to-date with carrier updates and underwriting information to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance (preferred).
  • Proficiency in EPIC software is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
