Employee Benefits Department Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Department Manager to lead and oversee the Benefits Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits, personnel management, and a proven ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires occasional in-person office visits on a quarterly basis for team meetings.

Compensation Package

  • Competitive salary range: $100,000–$115,000 annually
  • Exceptional candidates with outstanding qualifications may be considered for higher compensation
  • Flexible start date, with an immediate need

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Employee Benefits Department, overseeing a team of 10–15 direct reports
  • Ensure the successful servicing of accounts, with an average size of 20–50 group lives
  • Provide support for servicing needs as required
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and client satisfaction
  • Maintain and improve processes within the department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with leadership and other departments to align goals and objectives

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in employee benefits, with a focus on fully insured, level-funded, and self-funded plans
  • Proven personnel management experience is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in EPIC software is required
  • Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) is a strong plus
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining team cohesion and productivity
