Personal Lines Account Manager

We’re working with a small, independent, family-owned insurance agency located in Union, NJ. With a total book of business around $60M, the agency offers a professional, tight-knit environment that emphasizes personal service and long-term relationships—without the red tape of a large corporate structure.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing a book of personal lines business consisting of approximately 80% standard accounts and 15–20% private client business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling all aspects of account servicing and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and carriers.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a personal lines book valued at approximately $500K–$600K

Handle day-to-day account management (A–Z, excluding billing)

Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and certificates

Provide high-touch service to both standard and private clients

Accurately document activities and maintain records in AMS360

Occasionally assist with quoting and onboarding of new business

Maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients

Collaborate with internal team members to ensure exceptional service
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in personal lines account management

Experience working with both standard and private client accounts

AMS360 experience highly preferred

Prior experience with multiple carriers

Strong organizational and client communication skills

Active P&C License required
