About Us:
We believe the best business partnerships are personal. What matters to our clients matters to us. We listen and help find solutions to our client’s complex problems. We are a local independent insurance, employee benefits, financial services, and Human Resources consulting firm founded in 1867. While we continuously grow, our commitment to exceptional service and creative insights to our clients remains the cornerstone of our business. Our team of roughly 160 team members now serves over 20,000 clients in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. We've been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work for 10 consecutive years and recently won the 2025 Governor’s Excellence in Worksite Wellness GOLD Level Award. Achieving these humbling accolades is largely due to the extraordinary, talented, smart, and driven people on our team.
What We Have to Offer:
You’ll be a trusted advisor to a dedicated book of clients, focusing on retention, strategic planning, and exceptional service delivery. In this role, you’ll lead benefit strategy, financial analysis, plan design, renewals, benchmarking, and compliance oversight, ensuring each client has solutions tailored to their needs. You’ll collaborate closely with account management teams to develop and execute renewal strategies, distribute RFPs, manage open enrollment, and conduct post-renewal analysis. You’ll have the opportunity to share the latest industry trends and our value proposition with clients, cultivate strong relationships with carriers and vendors, and identify cross-selling opportunities to grow your book. This is a role where autonomy meets collaboration, giving you the freedom to manage your portfolio while having the full support of a skilled, people-first team. We offer a culture built on trust and respect, professional growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits to support your health, financial security, and work-life balance.
What You Bring:
You are a relationship-builder with a proven track record in employee benefits and client service, holding a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in servicing and/or selling group benefits. Your strong communication skills enable you to explain complex benefit information with clarity and confidence while guiding clients through benefit strategy, plan design, renewals, and service delivery. You maintain a valid health, life, and disability license in the state(s) where we do business and are comfortable traveling to meet with clients and vendors. You thrive on developing and executing renewal strategies, collaborating with account management teams, and staying current on industry trends and compliance requirements. Collaborative by nature, you excel in team environments, are highly proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms, and bring exceptional organizational and analytical skills to every project.
