Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts and cultivating strong relationships with clients. This individual should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for commercial insurance clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of accounts, including handling policy renewals, endorsements, and claims
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, prepare proposals, and negotiate terms and coverage options
- Analyze insurance coverage needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions to clients
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in insurance policies and regulations
- Assist in the development of client presentations and participate in client meetings as needed
- Work closely with the sales team to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client base
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and retention
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 2 years of previous independent insurance agency experience
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in using insurance management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate and organized client records
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license
