Job Title: Personal Lines Customer Service Representative

 

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing day-to-day service and administrative support for personal lines insurance accounts. The position involves direct interaction with customers, agents, and carriers to address policy servicing needs, process documentation, and ensure efficient file and account management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist in-office clients during business hours (Monday through Friday)
  • Follow up with customers on policy notices and requests for additional information
  • Generate and process weekly renewal and lapse prevention reports
  • Handle incoming insurance carrier claim reports and process accordingly
  • Process endorsements, cancellations, and related documentation received via mail, email, or fax
  • Maintain filing system for active, cancelled, and reactivated policy files
  • Provide general support to management with ad hoc administrative tasks
  • Respond to lender requests regarding coverage verification or policy changes
  • Assist customers with payment processing or confirming payment status
  • Manage change of address requests within the policy's current state
  • Fulfill client requests for ID cards, declarations pages, and other documents
  • Support referring agents with documentation and policy servicing
  • Process policy rewrite and change requests, including adding or removing vehicles or units

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Previous customer service experience in personal lines insurance preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with standard office technology (email, fax, phone systems)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with major carriers (e.g., Safeco, Progressive, etc.) a plus
