Job Title: Employee Benefits Specialist

 

Job Summary
The Employee Benefits Specialist plays a vital support role in the execution and management of employee benefit enrollment processes. This position focuses on system implementation, data accuracy, and service delivery for benefit plans involving groups ranging from 2 to 50 lives. The role supports internal account management teams, assists with enrollment issues, and provides technical and administrative assistance related to benefit platforms. Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to high-quality client service.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support client setup and maintenance in benefit administration systems such as Employee Navigator, Paycom, or ADP WFN
  • Enter and update employee benefit eligibility information; process enrollments and resolve discrepancies
  • Test and launch system build-outs; manage data integrations such as EDI and API exchanges with carriers and vendors
  • Maintain and update enrollment materials, plan documents, summaries, and employee-facing resources
  • Process renewals and open enrollment records, including QLEs, EOIs, COBRA, and other eligibility events
  • Perform audits and reconciliations in partnership with the account management team
  • Respond to client, carrier, and vendor inquiries related to enrollment systems and eligibility issues
  • Provide system training and demos for clients’ HR teams; manage eligibility mailboxes and maintain documentation
  • Coordinate deduction reports and collaborate with external enrollment vendors as needed
  • Develop microsites and assist in prioritizing tasks with EB leadership
  • Maintain workflow logs and update benefits data within agency management systems
  • Remain current on industry trends, benefit regulations, and vendor offerings
  • Occasional travel may be required to support enrollment meetings or client needs

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Life & Health license preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Prior exposure to employee benefits, HRIS, or enrollment platforms is beneficial
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with systems like Employee Navigator, Keeper, OneDrive, and/or BenefitPoint
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Entry-level candidates with an interest in employee benefits administration are encouraged to apply
