Job Summary
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting the growth and retention of the business. You will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to provide exceptional service and tailor insurance solutions to meet the specific needs of clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for a designated portfolio of commercial clients, understanding their insurance needs and providing expert advice and guidance.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to negotiate terms, coverage, and pricing to meet client requirements.
- Prepare and present client proposals, as well as handling policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and team members, ensuring a high level of customer retention and satisfaction.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market changes to provide relevant advice and solutions to clients.
- Support the business development efforts by identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the existing client base.
- Assist in resolving client issues and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial insurance, with a strong understanding of insurance products, coverages, and policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a customer-centric approach to account management.
- Proficiency in using insurance management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- An active P&C (Property and Casualty) License is required.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the insurance industry.
