Placement Specialist / Team Lead – Commercial Lines – Remote
Location: Flexible (Remote or Hybrid, based on location)

License Required: P&C (designations a plus)
A respected national insurance agency with over 1,200 employees is hiring two experienced Placement Specialists/Team Lead to support the continued growth of their commercial lines division. This is a hands-on leadership and placement-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing, market-savvy environment and enjoys mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive new and renewal marketing efforts in partnership with Sales Producers and Account Managers

Develop submission strategies based on client risk profiles and market conditions

Prepare complete marketing submissions, negotiate with carriers, and compare final quotes

Serve as a resource on carrier appetite, underwriting contacts, and market trends

Act as team lead and mentor for the risk placement team, overseeing onboarding, training, and quality standards

Collaborate with the Director of Placement on process improvements and project execution

Host renewal meetings, coordinate quoting activity, and ensure all client placement needs are met

Utilize AMS360 and ImageRight for documentation, tracking, and communication

Maintain strong relationships with underwriters and carriers to negotiate favorable terms

Ensure compliance with all applicable insurance regulations
Ideal Candidate:
-
5–10+ years of experience in Commercial Lines risk placement or marketing
-
Experience working with small to middle-market accounts across various industries
-
P&C license required; industry designations preferred

Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring or managing others

Deep knowledge of commercial markets and carrier relationships

Proficiency with AMS360 and ability to manage high-volume placements

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
