Employee Benefits Producer
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Employee Benefits Producer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and providing comprehensive employee benefits solutions to organizations of all sizes. This role involves a deep understanding of employee benefits products, strong sales skills, and the ability to build long-term partnerships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the employee benefits space.

Develop and implement strategies for targeting potential clients, including prospecting, cold calling, networking, and lead generation.

Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the value of comprehensive employee benefits programs.

Cultivate and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and prospects.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for all employee benefits needs.

Understand clients' specific requirements and tailor benefits solutions to meet their goals.

Conduct regular meetings with clients to review their benefits programs, provide updates on industry trends, and ensure overall satisfaction.

Employee Benefits Consulting:

Provide expert advice to clients on employee benefits programs, including group health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and wellness programs.

Help clients navigate and choose the most appropriate plans based on their business needs, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and regulations in the employee benefits industry to ensure clients remain compliant and competitive in the marketplace.

Sales Presentations and Proposals:

Create customized proposals for new and existing clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and employee needs.

Present employee benefits solutions to decision-makers, effectively communicating the value and benefits of each plan option.

Negotiate pricing and plan details to secure new business and renew existing accounts.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Work closely with account managers, service teams, and underwriters to ensure the seamless delivery of employee benefits services to clients.

Collaborate with the compliance and legal teams to ensure all benefits plans comply with federal and state regulations.

Market and Product Knowledge:

Maintain an in-depth understanding of employee benefits products, industry trends, and competitive offerings.

Regularly evaluate and recommend new and innovative benefits solutions that can enhance clients’ offerings and employee satisfaction.

Track key industry changes (e.g., healthcare reform, benefits regulations) and communicate updates to clients.

Client Retention and Renewal:

Actively engage in client retention efforts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and client loyalty.

Lead the renewal process for existing clients, ensuring that their employee benefits programs remain competitive and aligned with their evolving needs.

Conduct regular reviews of benefits programs to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and increased value.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits sales or consulting, with a proven track record of success in acquiring and retaining clients.

Licenses/Certifications: State insurance license (Life & Health) or the ability to obtain within a specified period.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of employee benefits products, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and wellness plans.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present and explain complex benefits concepts to clients in an accessible manner.

Strong sales and business development skills with a proven ability to generate new business and close deals.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and industry professionals.

Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and benefits administration platforms.

Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently while managing multiple client accounts.
Additional Desired Skills:

Experience working with larger groups and complex employee benefits packages.

Knowledge of self-funded, fully insured, and alternative funding strategies for benefits programs.

Certifications such as CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist), GBA (Group Benefits Associate), or other relevant designations are a plus.
