Senior Associate Broker – Casualty,  ATL, GA 
$85-$105k with bonus opportunity

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Associate Broker with a strong background in casualty insurance to join our growing wholesale brokerage team. This role focuses on placing and negotiating complex primary and excess casualty risks, working closely with retail agents, underwriters, and carrier partners. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of casualty markets, coverage structures, and risk analysis, with a strong ability to market accounts effectively and secure competitive terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing & Placement:

    • Market and place new and renewal casualty accounts, including general liability, excess & umbrella, product liability, and specialty casualty risks.
    • Work with underwriters to structure customized casualty solutions based on clients' risk profiles.
    • Secure competitive quotes and coverage options from a broad range of E&S (Excess & Surplus) carriers and specialty markets.
  • Carrier & Retail Agent Relations:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail agents, underwriters, and carrier partners.
    • Stay informed on carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, and emerging casualty risk trends.
  • Risk Analysis & Coverage Negotiation:

    • Analyze submission data, loss runs, and exposure details to assess risk acceptability.
    • Negotiate policy terms, pricing, and endorsements to maximize coverage value for clients.
    • Recommend appropriate risk management strategies and alternative program structures.
  • Account Management & Compliance:

    • Manage the full lifecycle of accounts, from submission to binding and policy servicing.
    • Ensure compliance with brokerage and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of negotiations, quotes, and policy placements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in commercial casualty insurance, preferably in wholesale brokerage or E&S lines.
    • Strong knowledge of primary & excess casualty markets, risk transfer mechanisms, and policy structures.
  • Education & Licensing:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or a related field preferred.
    • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license or ability to obtain necessary licensing.
  • Technical & Industry Knowledge:

    • Deep understanding of general liability, excess/umbrella, product liability, and contractor-related casualty risks.
    • Familiarity with contract review, policy form comparison, and complex coverage endorsements.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills:

    • Strong ability to present casualty insurance solutions to retail agents and clients.
    • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with underwriters and retail brokers.
  • Attention to Detail & Organizational Skills:

    • Ability to manage multiple complex accounts, submissions, and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical skills to assess risk exposures and coverage gaps effectively.
