COMPENSATION:

• $120,000 - $160,000/year

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of life sciences underwriting experience, preferably with middle market accounts.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and life sciences industry dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Strong decision-making skills with a results-driven approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business for middle market life sciences accounts, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.
2. Manage a portfolio of life sciences accounts to achieve profitability and growth targets.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business growth.
4. Stay current on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes within the life sciences sector.
5. Work closely with actuarial, claims, and risk management teams to support underwriting decisions.
