A P&C independent insurance agency is seeking an experienced, driven, and motivated Financial Advisor to join their team! Candidates must be dedicated to growing a current book of business while providing a very high level of service to their clients. 

Job Description:

The Financial Advisor will work closely with the Partners on a day-to-day basis, focusing on client communication, follow-up, and converting P&C clients to financial advising clients. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, personable, and enjoys client interaction. Key responsibilities include going through a warm leads list of current clients to add additional financial advising services to their portfolio. This will include scheduling appointments/calls with current clients mostly by phone but occasionally in person. 

Ideal candidate is someone who has demonstrated proficiency in sales. This is a great opportunity to show your sales skills as you will help drive and close new business.
The agency is looking for someone who has experience working as an advisor or broker in their previous role. This person should be passionate about helping clients plan out their best financial future.

  • Speak with/meet with the agencies existing P&C clients to convert to financial advising clients
  • Encourage clients to implement agencies financial advice and recommendations
  • Prospect and acquire new clients 
  • Bring a book of business with them, or have experience previously growing a book of business
  • Strong sales background to grow sales
  • Opportunity to partner with the owners on deals
  • Opportunity to manage and run your own book of business as an entrepreneur

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of financial planning or advisor experience
  • Experience selling and building your own book of business
  • Sales/upselling experience
  • Series 6 or 7 & 63 or 66 licenses
  • Strong communication skills phone and in person
  • Attention to detail
