Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Small Business Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day client relationships, policy renewals, claims assistance, and new business development for small business accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all commercial insurance needs.
  • Policy Administration: Oversee policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations for small business clients, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Insurance Needs Assessment: Conduct regular reviews of clients’ insurance portfolios to ensure coverage aligns with their evolving business needs.
  • Claims Support: Act as an intermediary between the client and the insurance company, providing guidance on the claims process and ensuring timely resolution.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for new business by networking with potential clients and providing quotes for commercial insurance policies.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest insurance products, market trends, and regulatory changes to provide the best advice to clients.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate client files, including policy details, correspondence, and other relevant documents. Provide regular reports to senior management as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, brokers, and other internal teams to facilitate smooth processing of policies and resolve any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, preferably within a small business environment.
  • P&C license required 
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in using insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including general liability, property, workers' compensation, commercial auto, and more.
