Professional Lines Underwriter

Job Description
Well-known agency seeking a detail-oriented Professional Lines Underwriter who demonstrates clear knowledge and understanding of professional lines insurance coverage.  Candidate will be familiar with all coverage lines with both admitted and non-admitted carriers. 

• Analyze broker commercial submissions within underwriting appetite to rate, quote, bind new and renewal personal insurance coverage.
• Experience with all standard personal lines of coverage
• Accounts as large as 250,000 and averaging 30,000 in written premium.
• Responsible for territory, including regular agency visits (virtual).
• Work together with the underwriting team, assisting when value can be provided.
• Perform touches on agencies and individuals not consistently sending in business. 

Requirements:

• 3 years + of Professional Insurance Underwriting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree is strongly desired
• Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
• Must be willing to acquire Property & Casualty (P&C) license within 6 months.
