Associate Broker
Job Summary
An established agency is seeking a dedicated Associate Broker to join their team. Key responsibilities include reviewing incoming new & renewal submissions, marketing, and issuing endorsements, binders, and certifications. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Excess & Surplus lines business, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist brokers in managing and servicing accounts, including handling policy renewals and processing endorsements.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance quotes and submissions to clients and carriers.
- Maintain accurate client information, policy details, and digital filing systems.
- Coordinate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate terms, gather necessary information, and document loss runs.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and documentation for client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence management, and responding to client inquiries.
- Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and regulatory updates to uphold compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals in servicing client needs and supporting brokers and underwriters with administrative tasks.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverages, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
- Holds an active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License.
- 1+ year of prior Wholesale experience is required.
- Preferred Agency Management System Experience: AIM
- 3+ years of relevant insurance industry experience preferred.
- Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
