Job Summary
A leading wholesaler is seeking a motivated and experienced Property & Casualty Broker to join their team. This role is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships, negotiating policies, and ensuring optimal coverage for clients.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Work closely with underwriters, agents, and other stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Focus on growing and maintaining agency relationships to foster long-term partnerships and business success.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice and services.
- Develop strategies to effectively market insurance products to both new and existing clients.
- Actively seek opportunities for growth in both new markets and renewal business.
- Evaluate client risks and insurance needs to determine the best coverage options.
- Ensure the timely completion of submissions, quotes, and all related administrative processes to maintain operational efficiency.
- Prepare detailed submissions to present client risks to insurance carriers.
- Collaborate with insurers to obtain the best terms and coverage options for clients.
- Present and negotiate insurance policies with potential clients to secure new business.
- Negotiate coverage terms, premiums, and conditions with insurance carriers on behalf of clients.
- Handle the placement of accounts, ensuring that clients receive the best possible coverage options.
- Ensure all policy details are accurately documented and that client coverage is placed effectively with the chosen carrier.
- Maintain a high level of service and responsiveness to client needs and inquiries.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in property and casualty insurance, including coverages, rating, terminology, and technical procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in building and maintaining positive client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a team environment and across all organizational levels, while adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Holds an active P&C Insurance License; committed to meeting license renewal requirements.
- 5+ years of relevant insurance industry experience preferred.
- Previous production experience with either a wholesaler or insurance agency.
- Previous wholesale experience is required.
- Previous outbound marketing experience is required.
- Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
