Customer Service Representative
Job Summary
A customer-focused insurance organization is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support Property & Casualty and Workers’ Compensation operations. This position serves as a key point of contact for clients and internal team members, providing responsive service while assisting with data collection, reconciliation, documentation, and administrative functions.
The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, professional, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting underwriting, risk control, and sales functions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal departments to provide timely, accurate, and professional customer service.
- Answer and appropriately route incoming calls related to Property & Casualty and Workers’ Compensation services.
- Assist clients with online portal access, claims submissions, and completion of required forms.
- Generate quotes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, surety bonds, invoices, and related documentation.
- Review builders risk applications and assist with associated processing.
- Collect and compile applications, supporting documentation, and other data for underwriters, reinsurers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform administrative functions supporting Property & Casualty and Workers’ Compensation operations.
- Reconcile property schedules, loss experience, payroll audits, exposure information, and other data.
- Communicate with clients and internal team members to assist with questions regarding coverage and departmental processes.
- Support underwriting and sales teams with assigned responsibilities throughout renewal cycles.
- Follow departmental procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
- Ensure inquiries are directed to the appropriate team member when additional assistance is required.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate degree or relevant insurance industry experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated professionalism when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to learn new processes and responsibilities on the job.
- Ability to spend several hours per day working at a computer and sitting or standing at a workstation.
- Ability to move throughout a standard office environment as needed.
- Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance required.
