Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
- Architect and implement scalable solutions in Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and cloud migrations.
- Lead the modernization of on-premises systems to cloud-native platforms.
- Manage and optimize enterprise services such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Hybrid & On-Premise Support
- Oversee and maintain VMware and related infrastructure during transitional phases.
- Provide engineering and operational support for Windows/Linux servers, storage, and SaaS environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between cloud and on-premises systems.
Automation & Systems Management
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Implement and refine monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning across systems and applications.
- Integrate platforms and tools via RESTful APIs (e.g., Microsoft Graph) to enhance automation and visibility.
Security & Compliance
- Partner with security teams to enforce policies around identity, endpoint protection, and network access.
- Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, and policy updates to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead recovery simulations and ensure adherence to defined RTO/RPO objectives.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for infrastructure-related issues.
- Mentor junior team members and coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
- Contribute to IT strategy and continuous improvement initiatives focused on modernization and reliability.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure or systems engineering.
- Expertise in Azure, Active Directory, VMware, Windows Server, and networking fundamentals (DNS/DHCP, firewalls, VLANs, etc.).
- Strong background in automation and scripting (PowerShell required; Terraform/YAML/JSON preferred).
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and communicate effectively across teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Administrator).
- Additional certifications such as VMware, CompTIA Security+, or Network+.
- Familiarity with telephony systems or unified communications platforms.
