Compensation Package

• Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000/year

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 65-75 high-exposure, complex bodily injury claims, with values ranging from $1M to $10M.
• Conduct thorough investigations, evaluate claims, and develop resolution strategies.
• Handle all aspects of litigation management, including selecting and directing defense counsel.
• Draft and analyze complex coverage letters and address coverage issues.
• Represent the company in mediations and trials, ensuring effective claim resolution.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to address developments impacting product lines.
• Present cases to senior leadership, articulating strategies and recommendations.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field; or
  • Juris Doctorate with relevant legal experience.

• Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in legal or insurance-related roles, with a focus on commercial transportation claims; or
  • 5+ years of transportation/insurance defense experience with a Juris Doctorate.
  • Proven expertise in handling high-exposure trucking, bus, and/or commercial auto bodily injury claims across multiple jurisdictions.
