Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and maintain strong, long-term client relationships with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and tailored insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting businesses in protecting their assets, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial insurance clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing expert advice.
- Develop and execute strategies to retain and grow the client portfolio while identifying opportunities for cross-selling insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, underwriting, and other key stakeholders to deliver customized insurance programs that meet client needs and comply with insurance regulations.
- Provide policy reviews, coverage analysis, and recommendations to clients to ensure they have the protection they need for their businesses.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and products to best serve clients and provide informed recommendations.
- Oversee the processing and renewal of policies, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Build relationships with carriers and negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage on behalf of clients.
- Contribute to team initiatives and participate in training sessions to share insights and develop best practices.
- Document all client interactions accurately in the company's agency management system and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an account manager (5+ years preferred), with a proven track record in a client-facing role.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and risk management principles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in the use of agency management software and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously with a detail-oriented approach.
Compensation Package
- Compensation: Between $65k-$85k (based on experience).
