Portfolio Product Manager, P&C
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Product Manager to join a team. This senior-level role is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of assigned lines of business (LOB) or regions within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance sector. The ideal candidate will develop and execute product and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while delivering value to clients and agents. This position requires a strong focus on market analysis, risk management, and cross-departmental collaboration to achieve business objectives.
This is a fully onsite role, with opportunities to work from one of the following locations: Omaha, NE; New York City, NY; Albany, NY; Richmond, VA; or Chicago, IL.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Responsibilities
- Own the growth and profitability of assigned LOB or region, including achieving year-over-year growth targets and rate plans.
- Monitor and evaluate key initiatives, identifying concerns and proposing solutions to senior leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships and partnerships for LOB and regional initiatives.
- Identify new focus markets and develop strategies to profitably grow market share.
- Lead agent and client workshops to understand client needs and deliver value-driven solutions.
- Proactively assess and implement risk management solutions, including recommendations on CAT management, reinsurance structures, and agency footprint.
- Provide industry intelligence on emerging issues to the leadership team.
- Mentor and develop the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, marketing, IT, and actuarial teams to enhance product performance and efficiency.
- Lead the rollout of new products, updates, and training for employees and business partners.
- Build and execute annual business plans focusing on growth, profitability, product development, and compliance.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5 to 10 years of industry experience, with at least 4 years in Product Management or 8 years in underwriting/actuarial roles with 2 years of Product Management experience.
- Strong knowledge of project management, risk segmentation, and insurance pricing.
- Understanding of product implementation and the product life cycle.
- Proven track record of success in progressively responsible roles.
- Proficiency with new technologies and adaptability to evolving tools.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required.
