Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Underwriting Operations Technician to join a team. This role is integral to supporting an underwriting team by processing policies, endorsements, and quotes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement after an initial onsite training period.

Compensation Package

Salary Range: $40,000 - $58,000 annually

Responsibilities

Process policies, endorsements, and quotes to support the underwriting team.
Review applications and policy change requests for accuracy and completeness.
Utilize internal systems and rating tools to rate new and renewal business.
Calculate premiums for new business, endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.
Assist underwriters with quotes, renewals, and policy modifications.
Apply ISO, NCCI, and related manuals for rating and policy interpretation.
Maintain proficiency in company systems and underwriting tools.
Communicate with underwriting staff to resolve questions or discrepancies.
Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of policy transactions.

Qualifications/Requirements

Prior experience in commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance is preferred.
Familiarity with ISO and NCCI guidelines and regulations is a plus.
Experience with insurance rating and policy systems is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret policy language effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Team Leader to oversee and manage a team of professionals across multiple offices. This is a 100% management role, where you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the success of the Commercial Lines department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines servicing or production, coupled with proven leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more employees.

Compensation Package

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 (commensurate with experience)
Benefits: Competitive benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, professional development opportunities, etc.
Travel: 20%-30% travel to various offices

Responsibilities

Provides guidance and support to Commercial Account Managers.
Assign daily tasks and set expectations for team members.
Train, coach, and guide team members on performance and room for improvement.
Works closely with the Managing Director to ensure support is provided to the Commercial Account Executive.
Provides support to AM, AE or Producer in the new business and renewal business workflows, including but not limited to:
Client research and gathering complete underwriting information.
Conducting Loss Run Analysis.
Preparing complete and accurate submissions including applications and/or supplemental forms; sending out to market and/or performing Online Rating as required.
Binding coverage and complying with any subjectivity(ies) as required by carrier, Surplus Lines Association, etc.
Review all policies, identifying and notifying AM, AE or Producer of any discrepancies and ensuring that all necessary. changes are submitted to and issued by the carrier.
Growing client loyalty by building positive relationships and providing high levels of advocacy, world-class service, and professional communication.
Ability and willingness to continually grow your insurance expertise, management/leadership skills, and followership skills.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is mandatory.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years in commercial lines servicing or production.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more employees.
- Experience implementing new processes and procedures within a company setting.
Account Expertise:
- Experience with generalist accounts, including manufacturing, wholesaling, distribution, and real estate/habitational.
- Familiarity with Chubb, Dairyland, CNA, Auto Owners, and similar carriers.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AMS 360 is preferred.
Travel: Willingness to travel 20%-30% of the time to various offices.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
