The Operations Manager will have overarching responsibility for all day-to-day operations. Ideal candidate has experience running the office for a small to mid-sized insurance agency, experience running a book of business, and managing account managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Office Management- oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the office, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies, and providing support to employees.
• Handle various administrative tasks for the office. Provide general administrative support to employees, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence. Act as the main contact for office-related issues.
• Has a working knowledge of the agency management software (Vertafore).
• Improve daily organization and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Act as Team Lead and monitor production and monthly goals for 3 account managers and a team of 6 sales members. 
• Fosters and maintains relationships with current carriers.
• Responsible for client retention activities and engagement strategies.
• Oversees company operations along with Partners to ensure company targets for revenue and profitability are met.
• Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers, partners, vendors, and management.
• Supports the Partners in all aspects of the business and operations.

Skills:

• 5 + years of Operations Manager experience from an insurance agency required.
• Property & Casualty agency management system preferably Vertafore.
• Must have experience running a book of business.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Strong insurance knowledge.
• Creative problem-solving skills along with exceptional time management and attention to detail. 

Compensation Package:

• Compensation: Between $80k-$100k (based on experience)

Underwriting Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Underwriting Operations Specialist to join a team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating training, developing resources, and driving continuous improvement within the underwriting department.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the training manager to facilitate new-hire onboarding and ongoing department training sessions, covering topics such as underwriting systems, workers' compensation, property, liability, and commercial auto coverage.
• Develop and maintain online underwriting resources, policies, manuals, training materials, and procedures to ensure consistent application across the department.
• Provide support to other departments by sharing underwriting knowledge and expertise to help achieve organizational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing changes to workflows, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Identify problems, research solutions, and collaborate on the design and implementation of effective resolutions.
• Develop and maintain tools and resources to support underwriting operations.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
• Preferred insurance industry certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or Associate in Premium Audit.
• Strong knowledge of NCCI, PAAS, and underwriting business processes.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
• Excellent interpersonal, project management, and leadership skills.
• Strong decision-making, critical-thinking, and communication abilities.

• Manage an established current book of business
• Handle HR responsibilities for the office - Handle various administrative tasks. Provide general administrative support to employees, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence. Act as the main contact for office-related issues.
• Has a working knowledge of the agency management software (Applied TAM and Applied Epic).
• Improve daily organization and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Ensures regulatory compliance of the agency.
• Act as Team Lead and monitor production and monthly goals for 6-8 account managers. 
• Fosters and maintains relationships with current carriers.
• Responsible for client retention activities and engagement strategies.
• Oversees company operations along with Partners to ensure company targets for revenue and profitability are met.
• Oversees education and can provide coaching, training, and development programs to increase staff capability and agency expertise.
• Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers, partners, vendors, and management.
• Supports the Partners in all aspects of the business and operations.
